The LOFAR project now enters its exciting phase. In October 2009 more than 10 Dutch and 3 German stations on the way to get ready. A "busy week" on polarization observations with the existing stations is planned before the workshop.
The aim of the workshop is to analyze the first data and problems, discuss
technical details of the commissioning observations and to organize the next
work packages. Status reports from the LOFAR project and the working groups of the Magnetism Key Science Project (MKSP) will be given.
Attendance of the workshop is expected for the full MKSP members and
recommended to the associated members. Other scientists interested in the
project are also welcome.
The workshop will start on Oct. 20 at 13h and end on Oct. 21 around 15h.
